Fuding Old White Tea

Aged white tea, also referred to as "White Gold Tea," is white tea that has been stored for many years, typically 10 to 20 years. During this extended storage period, the internal components of the tea leaves gradually undergo changes.

Over time, the aromatic compounds in the tea slowly evaporate, the infusion color shifts towards a reddish hue, and the flavor profile becomes increasingly mellow and smooth. The tea's thermal properties also shift from cool to warm as the aging process progresses.

The longer the white tea is stored, the more the taste mellows and integrates, enhancing the tea's overall drinking value and appreciation. This aging process allows the white tea to develop a richer, more complex, and refined flavor profile compared to freshly harvested white tea.
