Flower of Life Alloy Steel Gongs CCB-048

Flower of Life Alloy Steel Gongs is a less traditional Chinese gong than some other styles. It is one of the most generationally created designs by Chinese gong makers and is available to all gong sellers, so we felt the need to put it in the traditional section. It is basically a wind gong.

The Flower of Life wind gong combines an exciting look with an interesting sound. When heated in a kiln, the gong has a dark color and a rough surface. The fine appearance of the Sun Gong is created by "shearing" it on the lathe, where alternating lanes are turned off with a chisel while the lanes remain in their original state.

It sounds quite similar to a completely smooth phoenix gong, but with a raw edge. With a soft touch you get a low tone, while with a hard touch it produces a complex sound.
